Kent is a brand of cigarettes. The brand belongs to British American Tobacco Nassi group.
The brand name is not given by chance, it is named after Herbert Kent, who was a former executive at Lorillard Tobacco Company. There was used a Micronite filter for the cigarettes of the brand. This filter was introduced shortly after the publication of articles in Reader's Digest in 1952 entitled "Cancer by the Carton". And that fact scared American consumers and made them look for the special filter without the dangerous component.
Such cigarettes were removed from sale only after 1956.
Kent now uses charcoal filters (a form of activated carbon).
Some say, that in communist-era Romania, Kent cigarettes were "de facto" currency; goods and services could be purchased with packets or cartons of Kent cigarettes.
The smokers, who tried this tobacco product, surely likes it from first inhalation. And especially the ones, who started smoking with the help of this brand, will never give it up.
There is no analogue to Kent brand of cigarettes on tobacco market. It has a number of advantages, which make the cigarettes so unique: high quality, exciting taste and smooth flavor. Moreover, now it possesses a special filter that is safer for smokers' health than in any other cigarette. So the process of smoking is converted from a simple one into unforgivable pleasure and delight. In addition, nicotine and tar content is quite low. Thus, we see that all the necessary measures were taken in order to prevent health risk.
